Competing in the Turkish Basketball League (TBL), Mersin Metropolitan Municipality Sports Club (MSK) came in 3rd in the 15th Doruk Final Basketball Tournament held in Bursa as part of the preparations for the new season.
MSK, which faced Harem Spor for the first time within the scope of the tournament; 92 – 89 lost from the field. In the second match played the previous day, the host faced Final Spor.
In the match at Bursa Yıldırım Naim Süleymanoğlu Sports Hall, MSK, which lacks its long foreign, and Garrett Sim and Akın Kandemir were not in the match, our representative was the side that closed the first half behind 44/43.
At the end of the match, the host Final Spor managed to defeat our 78/73 representative. Final Spor got its second win in the tournament and MSK got its second loss.
Mersin Metropolitan Municipality MSK met with Balıkesir Metropolitan Municipality in the 3rd place match at Yıldırım Naim Süleymanoğlu Sports Hall on the 3rd day of the tournament.
MSK won the first half against its 46/42 opponent and was victorious with 85/78 three-pointers at the end of the match. Our representative became the 3rd in the tournament with this win. Balıkesir Metropolitan Municipality came in 4th with 3 losses.
The host Final Spor, on the other hand, won the field 91/73 against its rival Harem Spor and became the first with 3 wins, and Harem Spor became the second with 2 wins and 1 loss.
All teams participating in the tournament celebrated the 30th of August Victory Day by unfurling the Turkish Flag in the Hall on the last day of the tournament.
