Moustapha Fall Reflects on World Cup Experience with France Team

The Blues can finally be relieved. Their ordeal is over. They officially completed their World Cup by beating Côte d’Ivoire (87-77) last Saturday. Released after two games, they finished with three wins in a row. Everyone will now be able to move on. And Moustapha Fall can’t wait to dive into his club life. Because the competition was particularly difficult for the pivot, as he explains during an interview for BeBasket.

« I haven’t even played. It’s not even that we couldn’t see the Fall of Olympiakos, it’s that we didn’t see me at all. But that’s how it is… These are experiences that make you understand certain things. (…) These are the choices of the coach. If there are questions to ask, it is with him that we must see. Me, I was there. If he tells me to go home, I go. Otherwise, I’m not going. We have to respect the choices of the coach, that’s all. »

« There, I want to play again. It’s not like that usually when I leave the France team. For example, after the Olympics, I was tired, I wanted a break. There, I’m so frustrated that I want to play, want to pick up my pace, want to regain confidence, want to get back in a good situation and forget what just happened. Sometimes we take things for granted. My situation with Olympiakos is incredible. The technical staff, the team, the supporters are incredible. I love playing with Olympiakos, I realize it even more after this World Cup. Now I just want to go back. »

Moustapha Fall played 11 short minutes on average over 4 games, for 2 points and 1.8 rebounds.
