Montevideo Wanderers defeated Montevideo City Torque 2-1 at Parque Alfredo Víctor Viera for the third date of the Clausura 2023 tournament, with goals from Matías Fonseca and Tomás Andrade. El Bohemio, by Sergio Blanco, collected his first three units of the championship.
The first arrival of the match was at 5′ and ended up in the back of the net. At 32′, Andrade returned to face from the left, drew a diagonal and took a good shot that was blocked by Guruceaga. The one he subsequently tried was Pizzichillo for City Torque, but his free kick went above the horizontal.
In the last play of the first half, Fonseca deepened for Andrade, who scored only from midfield facing the goal and defined in a great way to increase the score. Due to the doubtful position of the author of the goal, the play was checked by the VAR, which validated the goal.
With 15 minutes to go until the end of the game, the highlight arrived. Lucas Rodríguez Trezza faced from the right and placed a past cross for Pizzichillo, who assisted Tiago Palacios with a header and he, through the same resource, discounted for Ciudadano.
