Minor Rescued Safely After Falling from Cerro Castor Chairlift

A minor fell from the Cerro Castor chairlift

This morning, in the city of Ushuaia, an incident occurred in which a minor was involved who was traveling on the Telesilla del Bosque (A1) lift on Cerro Castor.

Although the reasons are still unknown, the lift personnel activated the Ski Center’s security protocols upon detecting an irregular situation.

The chair slowed down and headed toward a safe area to apply the rescue protocol. The slope safety team (pisteros) descended and rescued the minor, who was in perfect condition.

There was the collaboration of the National Gendarmerie and the Provincial Police. Subsequently, the minor was taken to the medical assistance room for a check-up, where no injuries were found.

The quick response of the media personnel and lifeguards of the winter complex stands out.
