Last Monday, the Customs and Border Protection Office suspended operations at the Bridge of the Americas in Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua, due to the increase in migrants who have arrived at the border with the United States.

The closure caused 1,500 cargo trucks to become stranded, affecting companies that export and import from states such as Chihuahua, Coahuila, Nuevo León and Tamaulipas.
In a statement, the Confederation asked the governments of Mexico and the United States to work together to find solutions to migration and avoid humanitarian and economic risks.
In Ciudad Juárez alone, 12,000 migrants are waiting to cross the border, and it is estimated that three thousand remain around the wall due to the saturation of the shelters.
On Tuesday, Ferromex, of Grupo México, also announced the suspension of its services, stopping the trips of 60 freight trains, which is equivalent to 1,800 trucks. He later announced that the operations of some trains were rehabilitated.
For the Confederation, led by José Medina Mora, this migration crisis may condition the arrival of companies and foreign capital, as a result of nearshoring, as the necessary conditions do not exist for investments to prosper.
