Mexico Shines in Badminton at III Mexico Future Series 2023 and Earns Olympic Ranking Points

Mexico was partying. In recent days, the III Mexico Future Series 2023 took place in our country, where players from 15 countries participated. In the different badminton categories, where our country shone with three gold medals, points were added for the world and Olympic ranking.

The III Mexico Future Series 2023, which took place in Guadalajara between August 29 and September 3, is part of the Pan-American circuit and, most importantly, it serves trampoline athletes to get their ticket to the Olympic Games of Paris 2024.

Luis Ramón Garrido defeated William Hu of the United States in the final by 21-11 and 21-17 and hung the gold medal.Luis Armando Montoya Navarro and Miriam Rodríguez Pérez defeated the Canadians Daniel Zhou and Chloe Hoang, by 21- 13, 25-23 and 21-14 and they hung the gold medal. Miriam Rodríguez and Romina Fregoso Guevara defeated the Mexican couple made up of Joceline López and Mayté Macías in the final 2-0 (21-13 and 21-8 ). Haramara Gaitán lost to the Guatemalan Nikte Sotomayor 21-16 and 22-20, and hung the silver medal. For her part, both Sabrina Solís and Vanessa García obtained the bronze medal.

In this way, the Mexican athletes, in addition to putting on an enormous show on their land, added points to represent Mexico in the Badminton competition that will take place at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games.
