The National Table Tennis Team is formed for the Santiago 2023 Parapan American Games

The Mexican Paralympic Committee (COPAME) announced the national para table tennis team, which was made up of a total of 10 athletes, who will compete in the next Parapan American Games Santiago 2023, which will be held from November 17 to 26.

In the women’s branch, María Edith Sigala López (TT3), Martha Verdín Cedeño (TT4), Claudia Pérez Villalba (TT7) and Jeanelly Scarlett Góngora Magaña (TT10) will compete.

The men’s category is made up of Víctor Eduardo Reyes Turcio (TT2), Jesús Adán Sánchez García (TT4), Francisco Alam González Hernández (TT4), Enrique David Preza Hernández (TT9), Ángel Ignacio Castro Ortiz (TT7) and Josué Alejandro Vázquez Rodríguez (TT11).

Para table tennis, which was included in the program of the 1999 Mexico City Parapan American Games, will take place from November 16 to 20 in the Chilean capital.

Para tennis players are grouped into 11 classes, according to the impact of their disability: wheelchair (classes 1-5), standing (classes 6-10) and intellectual disability (class 11).
