Cadet team of the Mexican Judo Team won 8 medals at the Panamerican-Oceanía Championships 2023

The cadet team of the Mexican Judo Team that attended the Panamerican – Oceania Cadets Championships 2023 had a great performance, where they managed to obtain a total of eight medals, of which 1 was gold, two silver and five bronze.

This achievement was announced by the Mexican Judo Federation (FMJ), through a publication on its official Facebook page, where it celebrates and congratulates the achievement of the athletes who managed to climb to the podium of this event attended by competitors from 12 countries in Ocean´´ia and America.

According to this publication, as well as in the results tables, the Mexican team achieved a gold medal thanks to Carolina Vázquez, -40 kg; while the two silver medals went to Eduardo Sagastegui, -60 kg; and Rafael Ramírez, -73 kg.

As for the five bronze medals, these were thanks to Sofia Hernández, -44 kg; Paolo Salazar, -50 kg; Kendra Quiroz Larios, -52 kg; María Cruz, -63 kg; and Gerardo Castelán, +90 kg.

As for the rest of the team, the lists indicate that four Mexican competitors came in 5th place, being Suri Dayana Montes Pérez, -52 kg; Frida Maya, -57 kg; Renata Sandoval, -63 kg; and Ángel Hernández Rojas, -73 kg.

Likewise, in 7th place were Edwin Damián Alonso Cruz, -55 kg; Marco Aurelio Concha Aranda, -81 kg; and Daniela Leandro, -48 kg.
