Leipzig is struggling to win its opening game in the DFB Cup

Defending champions RB Leipzig reached the second round of the DFB Cup with some difficulty. The “Bulls” won 3-2 (2-1) at second division promoted SV Wehen Wiesbaden on Wednesday and thus completed the field for the next round, which will be drawn on Sunday.

Four days before the showdown with German record champions Bayern Munich, RB was already in the lead 2-0 and 3-1 thanks to Emil Forsberg (7th) and twice Benjamin Sesko (18th and 70th), but let the underdog through Ivan’s goals Prtajin (41st, 73rd) but always draw hope.

ÖFB legionnaire Nicolas Seiwald was in the starting line-up for Leipzig and was substituted in the 65th minute. Xaver Schlager came for him. Christoph Baumgartner replaced goalscorer Forsberg from the 74th minute.
