Latvian Tennis Players Rise and Fall in WTA Rankings

Latvia’s third racket Diāna Marcinkēviča has climbed four places and is now in the 362nd position, while Daniela Vismane has lost 16 places and is in the 392nd position. Anna Ozerova has also slipped five places lower (1035th), while Margarita Ignatieva has retreated by one place (1229th).

The leading position in the WTA ranking is maintained by the neutral tennis player Arina Sabalenka, the second is the Polish Iga Šviontek, and the third place is maintained by the American Coco Goff. US tennis player Jessica Pegula moved up from fifth to fourth place, overtaking Yelena Rybakina from Kazakhstan.

The Czech Marketa Vondroushova is still sixth, the Tunisian Onsa Jabert is seventh, the Czech Karolina Muhova maintains the eighth position, the Greek Maria Sakari is ninth, but Barbora Krejčikova from the Czech Republic has moved from 13th to 10th position.

In doubles, Ostapenko has recovered one place and occupies the 29th position, while Wismane has climbed two places and reached a career record, being in the 185th position.

Marcinkėviča has moved up by three positions and is in 199th place, Darja Semenistaja has also climbed three places and ranks in 206th position, while Igantjeva has lost nine places and is in 810th position.

Ozerova (1004th) has lost two places, Denīza Marcinkēviča (1084th) has fallen by five places, Kamilla Barton (1412th) has fallen by four places, while Marija Semenistaja and Līga Dekmeyere have lost three positions each and occupy a shared 1562nd place.
