A gong, drums and applause sound as the fighters from KSV Esslingen and JC Samurai Offenbach emerge from the locker room and are called individually to the mat to prepare for the 8th day of the Judo Bundesliga. It’s hot and stuffy in the KSV Arena, but that doesn’t dampen the mood of the 100 spectators in the hall.
