Cam Heyward will be out for several weeks with the Steelers

Heyward had to leave the game in the second quarter due to this problem. In the game he only had one hit on the QB and played 14 defensive snaps.
In his absence, the following defensive linemen are expected to have more opportunities: Larry Ogunjobi, Montravius Adams, Isiahh Loudermilk, Keeanu Benton and DeMarvin Leal.

Anthony Richardson today worries about physical condition after NFL debut
The Indianapolis Colts are dealing with the issues of allowing QB Anthony Richardson to be sacked four times and hit six times by the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 1 of the NFL.
In one of these collisions, Richardson hit his knee on the turf during the first quarter and then took another to his ankle near the end of the game.
After the game, he and HC Steve Steichen assured him that he was fine and again on Monday they confirmed that it is not serious. However, it was confirmed that injuries occurred in both cases that were classified as bruised knees and ankles.
In the same game, the Colts decided not to continue risking Richardson when defeat was assured, so he did not play with about a minute left.
The number four overall pick was 24 of 37 for 223 yards and a touchdown along with an Interception in this year’s kickoff.

Baker Mayfield: Bucs motivated by low expectations
After constant criticism that they would be nothing without Tom Brady under center, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers debuted in the 2023 NFL season with a victory over the current NFC North champions.
The team surprised the Vikings by beating them 20-17 to go 1-0 at the beginning of the campaign:
“It’s been kind of a motto for us all offseason through camp,” QB Baker Mayfield said for PFT regarding team mindset in response to low external expectations. “I mean, I think you guys see the narrative on the outside of what everyone is choosing against us. We know the talent and the group we have within the locker room. That is the most important. So we’ll take a road win to open the season no matter what, especially in an environment like that.”
Despite the offensive problems, Mayfield explained how they were able to overcome and win at the end of the game:
“We had to get into a little rhythm,” Mayfield said. “It’s not easy at all when you’re in an environment like that, so noisy, trying to communicate. So we got into a bit of a rhythm right before the break. We were able to launch a drive and hit Mike [Evans] on a touchdown and that’s really what set it off, it was just our guys settling in at that point. Nobody was playing tense. We did that and then hit the ground running a couple of times.”
In the end, the Bucs found the answer without the historic quarterback on their side to start with a positive record, which leaves a good foundation for what follows in a complicated (but not impossible) scenario to win the NFC South once again.
