The stars Julio César La Cruz, captain of the Cuban boxing squad, and the judoka Idalys Ortiz, both multiple Olympic and world medalists, will be the standard bearers of the Cuban delegation to the Pan American Games in Santiago, Chile.

Idalys and Julio have an extensive sporting career, highlighting their titles at all levels: Olympic, World, Pan American and Central Caribbean. His step at the head of the delegation, on October 20, at the opening ceremony of the event, will provide a high note of distinction to the delegation from the Greater Antilles.
