After the international match against France, the search for Flick’s successor officially began at the DFB on Wednesday.
The good news for the DFB: FC Bayern is releasing Nagelsmann, the dream solution, for the national team! “Sky” also reports about it.
BILD knows: DFB Vice President Hans-Joachim Watzke (one of the three decision-makers alongside Rudi Völler and DFB President Bernd Neuendorf) has already asked FC Bayern about Nagelsmann. Watzke wanted to know whether the Munich team considered the young coach suitable for the national coaching role based on their experience.

The problem: The salary alone would be a feat of strength for the DFB. Nagelsmann is said to earn up to seven million euros a year at Bayern. Flick had an estimated annual income of around 6.5 million euros at the DFB.
In addition, if Nagelsmann does not completely waive the estimated remaining payments totaling around 20 million euros to which he is entitled from his current Bayern contract, the DFB would have to step in. According to BILD information, Bayern do not want to pay any severance pay.
If Leroy Sané (27) has his way, the DFB officials around President Neuendorf should deal intensively with Nagelsmann.
