Reports are encouraging surrounding quarterback Joe Burrow and his return from injury with just days to go before the Bengals’ season opener.

CINCINNATI — Los Angeles quarterback Cincinnati Bengals, Joe Burrowreceived his best bill of health to date.

Burrow is expected to participate fully Wednesday at the team’s first official practice for the regular season. While the team did not provide any official injury reports last week, accounts of Burrow’s practice routine would class him as limited.

It’s the latest positive sign as Burrow prepares to play this Sunday against the Cleveland Browns. While Taylor was hesitant to declare him fully ready for Week 1, he offered a glowing review ahead of the team’s afternoon practice.

“It looks good,” Taylor said. “I think it’s prudent to approach it on a day-to-day basis right now.”

Taylor said he talks with Burrow every day and gathers feedback as the team prepares to go on another run to win the franchise’s first Super Bowl. Earlier in the week, Taylor said Monday’s practice was “a really good day” for the fourth-year out of LSU. Taylor said the plan is to continue to monitor where Burrow is after each day.

However, Taylor said that almost all of their conversations exclude chatter about the calf injury de Burrow.

“We talk a lot more about Cleveland than we do about this whole thing,” Taylor said. “I think he is in the mind (of the media). But for us, the important thing is to focus on the game plan. Those are 99.9% of our conversations.”
