Latvian javelin thrower Anete Sietiņa (formerly Kociņa) won the third place in Zagreb on Sunday in the gold level competition of the continental tour of the World Athletics Union.

Sietiņa succeeded in a solid series of throws, throwing the javelin at a distance of 57.54 meters in her best attempt (57.35 – 57.54 – 57.35 – 57.15 – 55.02 – X).

The American Maggie Malone won a convincing victory with a throw of 63.71 meters, while the second with a throw of 59.29 meters was the champion of the Rio de Janeiro Olympic Games, Sara Kolak.
