Luka Ivanušec has played more than seventy minutes for Croatia. The Feyenoord attacker started against Armenia and was threatening on a number of occasions with good dribbles. Ultimately, Ivanušec failed to produce an assist or a goal.
In the second half, Ivanušec was brought on for Lovro Majer. The left winger can now join Feyenoord again and prepare for the important matches against SC Heerenveen, Celtic FC and Ajax that are scheduled for the coming weeks.
Croatia ultimately managed to win the match for qualification for the 2024 European Championship in Germany with only 0-1. The Croats had plenty of opportunities to expand the score, but Ivan Perišić in particular was not on target. With the victory, Croatia is doing well in Group D and is level with Turkey. The Turks have played one more game.

Leo Sauer had to settle for a place on the bench at Slovakia Under 21. The 17-year-old left winger made his debut for the promising team last week. Against Denmark’s peers, Sauer was not given a starting place and did not get any playing minutes in the 2-0 win.
