FIBA World Cup 2023 in Indonesia Bung Karno’s Gelora Arena has indeed been completed, but the excitement continues to Manila, Philippines.
FIBA World Cup 2023 will enter the semifinals, Friday (8/9/2023) tomorrow. Of the four semifinalists, one team is an “alumni” from Jakarta, namely Canada, who beat Slovenia 100-89, Wednesday (6/9) evening WIB.
The other three teams are the United States, Germany and Serbia. For the semifinal match, Canada met Serbia before Germany faced the United States at the Mall of Asia Arena, Manila.

However, not only the participating teams continued their struggle in Manila. Basketball fans from Indonesia can also feel the excitement by coming directly to watch the 2023 FIBA World Cup Final.
They are Harris Dwiguna from Bandung, Novia Riani Putri, and Praylli Goldian Haman. They had the opportunity to watch the FIBA World Cup final live in Manila and fly to Manila on September 9.
They were chosen one of them for participating in a Social Media Content Contest (UGC) entitled “The Starting Five Challenge”, in which participants were asked to show their love for their own version of the “field” and win a free trip to Manila.
The departure of the three basketball fans from Indonesia to Manila was covered by Foot Locker Indonesia, starting from plane tickets, accommodation, transportation and also tickets to the final match, Sunday (10/9/2023).
“I was really surprised when the Foot Locker team contacted me about the news of this victory. However, I am very happy and grateful to Foot Locker Indonesia for the free travel package prize and the rare opportunity to witness the world basketball final in Manila later,” said Harris Dwiguna.
Meanwhile, General Manager of PT MAPActiv Adiperkasa and spokesperson for Foot Locker Indonesia, Nino Priambodo, said that this event was part of appreciation as well as enlivening the world basketball festival.
