Indianapolis Colts Rookie Quarterback Anthony Richardson Sidelined with Concussion

The Indianapolis Colts have lost the services of their rookie quarterback Anthony Richardson.

Richardson left the game after the first quarter of the game against the Houston Texans and his name was placed on the concussion protocol. He was then removed from the meeting a short time later.

The 21-year-old quarterback was injured with just over nine minutes left in the first quarter. Richardson first scored a touchdown with a 15-yard run, before taking a solid tackle from MJ Stewart as he crossed the goal line.

Richardson’s head then hit the ground head-on. Richardson finished the first quarter and participated in the Colts’ next offensive sequence, then he was replaced by Gardner Minshew.

Richardson left the game after scoring two rushing touchdowns Sunday against the Texans. He amassed 35 yards thanks to three carries, in addition to completing six passes for aerial gains of 56 yards.
