After their first defeat of the season on Tuesday (1:2 against Innsbruck), Salzburg only set the course for victory with a double strike to make it 4:2 by Ryan Murphy (52nd) and Chay Genoway (55th). A late goal by Alexander Rauchwald (59′) couldn’t change that.

In Klagenfurt, the “Rotjackets” could not feel safe in the duel with the Black Wings Linz after a 3-1 lead after 23 minutes. Lukas Haudum made it 3-1 and it was he who prevented the defeat with the goal to make it 4-4 in the 60th minute and forced extra time.
But there was no celebration, and so a penalty shootout had to be decided: Graham Knott missed the first penalty for the guests, Manuel Ganahl scored the decisive goal for the Carinthians after Brian Lebler had previously failed against KAC goalie Florian Vorauer.
Capitals give up 3-0 lead
The Vienna Capitals and Fehervar also had a special exchange of blows.
