IBK Investment & Securities announced on the 13th that it held an opening ceremony for the ‘Seongaewon Badminton Court’ at Seongaewon, a child care center located in Icheon, Gyeonggi-do.
Seongaewon is a child care facility where 53 children are currently living. IBK Investment & Securities sponsored the creation of a badminton court measuring 30 pyeong in the vacant lot in front of the orphanage to secure insufficient space for outdoor activities. ‘Seongaewon Badminton Court’ is equipped with artificial turf, fences, and sports supplies.
The opening ceremony was attended by Seo Jeong-hak, CEO of IBK Investment & Securities, sharing volunteer members, Seongaewon Director Ki-bong Lee, and Seongaewon Secretary General Kang Min-cheol. After the opening ceremony, a craft program was held with children in foster care.
Seo Jeong-hak, CEO of IBK Investment & Securities, said, “We will support children, who will become future leaders, to grow up healthily in a better environment,” and added, “We plan to continue to carry out activities that benefit the underprivileged in all corners of society.”
Meanwhile, the IBK Investment & Securities Sharing Volunteer Group plans to promote various social contribution activities that encompass all classes, such as △ elementary school economics classes △ support for young people preparing for independence, and △ support for rehabilitation treatment for the hearing impaired.
