[미디어타임즈=신정식 기자] On the 10th, the Hwaseong City Council attended the 16th Hwaseong Mayor Badminton Competition held at the Hwaseong Sports Complex Indoor Gymnasium located in Hyangnam.
Chairman Kim Kyung-hee, Vice Chairman Oh Moon-seop, Steering Committee Chairman Yoo Jae-ho, Economic and Environment Committee Chairman Cho Oh-soon, Kim Sang-gyun, Kim Jong-bok, Bae Jeong-soo, Bae Hyun-kyung, Song Seon-young, Wi Young-ran, Lee Gye-cheol, and Lee Yong-un attended to congratulate the opening of the conference.
In her congratulatory speech, Chairperson Kim Kyung-hee said, “It is said that Ahn Se-young, a promising player in the Korean women’s singles, became very depressed when she continued to lose matches in badminton because of her obsession with winning. “So in 2023, she wants to play badminton happily and happily,” she said. “If she enjoys the sport happily rather than being obsessed with winning, performance will naturally follow,” she said.
The Hwaseong Mayor Badminton Competition, now in its 16th year, was hosted by the Hwaseong City Badminton Association (Chairman: Young-mo Jeong) and was held over two days from the 9th to the 10th with approximately 1,000 participants.
