Germany Ends Streak with Victory over France Thanks to Rudi Voller

Bola.net – The German national team was finally able to stop a minor streak of five consecutive matches without positive results by winning over France. Thomas Muller was also not left behind, saying that the brilliant effect was thanks to the touch of Rudi Voller’s cool hands.

Host of Euro 2024, The team, beat the French national team in a friendly match. Playing at Signal Iduna Park, Wednesday (13/9/2023) early morning WIB, they beat Blues with a score of 2-1.

The win also allowed Germany to regain their confidence after a poor performance that led to the sacking of coach Hansi Flick on Sunday.

Goals from Thomas Muller and Leroy Sane early and late gave Germany, coached temporarily by Voller, their first win in six games and capped a tumultuous few days for the four-time world champions.

Thanks to Rudi Voller

Meanwhile France, runners-up at the 2022 World Cup, did not field their strongest team, with captain and top striker Kylian Mbappe on the bench. They were only able to reply to the hosts’ two goals through Antoine Griezmann’s penalty in the 89th minute.

Undoubtedly, Germany’s overall performance was much better than the 4-1 defeat at home to Japan on Saturday, which led to Flick’s departure

“For us, it was clear that we would run a lot today. It was a crazy situation in the last three days. But congratulations to Rudi and his staff for the way they handled it,” said Muller.

“We did what we had to do, we worked hard and we were rewarded for that. We shouldn’t read too much into this win, but for us it was an emotional outburst.”

Germany, who had won four of their previous 17 matches before this match, are eager to create a buzz for next year’s tournament in front of their home fans, and they are determined to restore their tarnished image as a strong football team.

“It’s important for the players, the federation to play like that, especially in the first half it was the best performance,” Voller said.

“It’s a relief for all of us. It feels very good, especially after the recent defeats,” he added.
