Germany, who had won four of their previous 17 matches before this match, are eager to create a buzz for next year’s tournament in front of their home fans, and they are determined to restore their tarnished image as a strong football team.
“It’s important for the players, the federation to play like that, especially in the first half it was the best performance,” Voller said.
“It’s a relief for all of us. It feels very good, especially after the recent defeats,” he added.
