The German basketball players will be welcomed in Frankfurt am Main on Tuesday after the historic World Cup gold in Manila. The German Basketball Association (DBB) confirmed this after the World Cup final (83:77) against Serbia.
Manila/Frankfurt/Main. The German basketball players will be welcomed in Frankfurt am Main on Tuesday after the historic World Cup gold in Manila. The German Basketball Association (DBB) confirmed this after the World Cup final (83:77) against Serbia.
Dennis Schröder and the entire entourage are traveling on scheduled flights from Manila via Abu Dhabi to their German homeland, where they will go directly from Frankfurt Airport to the sponsor ING.
A reception is planned there, to which fans should also be invited. The Frankfurt national players then move on in all directions. Some of the professionals are heading to the USA, others are staying in Germany.
“This is a surreal moment. This is an incredible group of players. We were a team first. The boys showed consideration for each other and challenged each other,” said national coach Gordon Herbert after the historic final victory.
