Without being fully convincing, the Gammertingen Royals defeated the Nagold Mohawks in the baseball association league with 22:77 and thus reinforced their second place in the table.
Gammertingen initially found it difficult to get into the game. In the first half of the game, the Mohawks took advantage of some uncertainties in the Royals’ defense and took a 3-0 lead. The hosts equalized immediately and took over the initiative from the second inning. Five points in a row, including a home run by Timo Landenberger, gave the Royals an 8-3 lead. This broke the resistance of the guests.
The Royals increased to 22:7 by the end of the fifth inning, whereupon the two referees from Göppingen ended the game after a good two hours of play due to the 15-point rule in favor of the Gammertingers.
Daniel Haule (5), Christoph Dieminger and Michael Rädle (4 each), Daniel Bravo and Timo Landenberger (2 each), as well as Manuel Buchta, Sebastian Dieminger, Stefan Endreß, Samuel Oehrle and Michail Sadovnyk scored for the Royals.
