Formosa Shines at Evita National Games with Impressive Medal Haul

On the penultimate day of competition at the Evita National Games that take place in Mar del Plata, Formosa was left with 20 medals to raise its total tally to 44. In addition, it qualified for the final stages in judo, taekwondo and men’s beach volleyball, they guarantee prizes

The medal haul was 19 with 13 gold, 3 silver and 4 bronze, so reaching the last day of competition, Formosa has a total of 44.

Adapted swimming closed its participation in spectacular fashion with the three athletes from Formosa totaling four medals, all gold, each. They are Bruno Menón, Máximo Fruhald and Matías Rigonatto who will return to Formosa with “excess baggage” since there will be a total of 12 medals in their bags.

Adapted athletics also had a podium day with a total of 8 medals. There was gold for Bárbara Molina in 100 meters PC, Brenda Frías in shot put PC, Luz barrios in 100 meters motors and Tobías Peralta in long jump. Salvador Quintana won the silver medal in the 100 meters blind and Mario Aranda in the 100 meters motor. There were two bronze medals and they went to Luis Cancino in 150 meters and Santiago Chauque in shot put.
