Casino Director Yalcin Dündar: “We are all very proud that we managed this big coup and were able to bring the WPT to the Grand Casino in little Liechtenstein. My personal dream is to break the mark of 1,227 participants. This is the previous record for WPT events on European soil. But I would also call 1,000 players a success.”
In addition to Barbarez, other big names from the poker scene have already confirmed their participation. 2019 WSOP Main Event champion Hossein Ensan is expected to compete, as will WSOP bracelet winner Dietrich Fast and Jan-Peter Jachtmann, who just finished 4th at this year’s main event in Las Vegas. A top starting field is guaranteed. You can still buy into the tournament for CHF 1,100 until Saturday. The game will be played until September 11th, then the winner of a quarter of a million will be determined.
