The win was important. We started the game well, but in the second period we were unfortunately held back by power plays, which we need to improve. Kladno quickly scored two goals and then the match turned around a bit, but fortunately we started well again in the third period and we already saw the result.

When did you finally find out that you will play against Kladno?
I was already in Liberec for a week, but there was some problem with the transfer, so I could only start now.
How did the move to Liberec go?
I already had an offer from Liberec in the summer, but I was still thinking about whether to try abroad. In the end, I went the Czech way. I didn’t feel like I was abroad yet, so far I was mainly at home. So I first wanted to take a step along the Czech path. I think it is the right choice.
How hard was it to say goodbye to Olomouc, where you grew up playing hockey?
It was certainly difficult, mainly because of school, because I wanted to finish it in Olomouc in peace. But by God it turned out well for me. I got an offer to Liberec and I could go here.
What role did Boris Žabka play in this, who trained you in Olomouc and now works in Liberec?
Of course, I know Boris from Olomouc, he trained me, but mainly I dealt with it with coach Pešán. He took me here and showed me how it works. I made decisions accordingly. And of course I consulted with the family. Everyone had an opinion, I listened to everything and decided accordingly.
Did you feel that you would have a better chance for an A in Liberec?
From the beginning in Olomouc, I mainly started in the junior team. Of course I have to fight for it, I wouldn’t have it for free in Olomouc, nor here. Although there is more competition here, it will be difficult, but for sure if I perform well, I could jump into some matches.
Do you think that Liberec will prepare you better for the draft than Olomouc?
There are far more coaches here who can take care of me, the environment is far better. I think it will prepare me better.
Have you already noticed any negative reactions from Olomouc, which were undoubtedly also about you?
They were certainly not happy in Olomouc, but it turned out like this. I am glad that I can follow the path of Liberec.
How did you decide on school in the end?
I’m still dealing with school. This week I will decide whether I will do it remotely in Olomouc, where I study logistics, chemistry and sports management at secondary school, or whether I will go to school in Liberec normally.
