The Finnish player Aleksandrs Madsens, who just played in the World Cup finals for the Finnish national team, has returned to the ranks of the Latvian basketball champion team “VEF Rīga”.

This will be Madsen’s fourth season in “VEF Rīga”, previously he played in the team from 2019 to 2022. In 2022, Madsen was recognized as the most valuable player of the Latvian Basketball Cup. In his last season in the ranks of “VEF Riga” 2021/2022. Madsen averaged 9.8 points, 7.3 rebounds and 2 assists per game in the Basketball Champions League.
In the previous season, Madsen represented one of the strongest teams in Greece, AEK Athens, where he averaged 6.7 points and 2.7 rebounds per game.
This summer, Madsen represented Finland in the FIBA World Cup, where he averaged 6.6 points and 2.4 rebounds.
