This weekend, the Island of Ager hosted the first edition of the Festi Ch’val en Astarac. The public came in large numbers to discover the world of horses and appreciated the quality of the activities offered throughout Saturday and Sunday, including mainly the equestrian shows presented by the Equifoliz and Equivolt troupes.
Spectators attended demonstrations of dressage, aerobatics and even a medieval tournament with swords, spears and archery.
Emotion and empathy were also there when young Zoé, on her wheelchair, led her pony to perform her number, under the encouragement of all the members of the Les Crins de Saint-Christophe club and public. The humor was there too with a mutt pony who seemed to love the applause and a shepherd dog who had a particular conception of his role, sitting on the backs of the horses, who did so willingly.
In addition to these attractions, visitors were able to appreciate the village of producers and artisans, where they could find both horse-related products but also local artistic or gastronomic products.
