After only five days of training and without the four World Cup participants Andi Obst, Niels Giffey, Isaac Bonga (all Germany) and Sylvain Francisco (France), Laso got started and was able to give a first taste of what is possible this season in the easycredit BBL and the EuroLeague will be.

Tomorrow Laso’s team will travel to Malaga (Spain), where tests against Spanish cup winners Unicaja (with Nihad Djedovic) and EuroLeague champions Real Madrid are scheduled. For Laso it will be the first reunion with his ex-club, where he won all titles in European basketball several times from 2011 to his heart attack in 2022.
But Madrid is a thing of the past for Laso: “I’m in Munich and I want to make a difference here. German basketball is on the right track, which can be seen impressively at the World Cup.”
