Social and sports festival a Rieti, today and Sunday, in Piazza Vittorio Emanuele II, in an event that brings together sport, music, gastronomy, art, culture, tradition and promotion of the territory in a single occasion. In addition to the stands of the associations, set up in the Municipality square, the event includes activities and demonstrations open to all. Today, from 12pm, opening of the “food trucks” and, in the afternoon from 3.30pm, excursion to the Fonte Colombo Sanctuary, the departure of the motorbike tour of Lake Salto and, following, yoga and meditation in the “Chenla style Taiji Quan”, pedaling in the city, seminar on Chakras, Rieti skateboard contest, then conferences and spaces with judo, yoga. And, again, friendly five-a-side football and salsa and bachata performances in the evening and zumba with Umberto and Pamela. At 10pm, “Fire show” with DJ Lory C & Don Bart and Bazì Eventi. Sunday morning, the departure of the 29th Michela Fanini cycling tourism Memorial, then the takeprandus prize with the historical archery competition and the treasure hunt. In the afternoon, historical fencing demonstrations, zumba with Maria Iose and Fiorella, bioenergym activities, school soccer and country dance performance and entertainment with Big Andrew DJ “Scuola West Umbria”. At 8pm, the concert by the SONO Solo Noi Vasco tribute band.
At the Tozzi theater Casaprota, today at 9pm, “The Conference of Birds” was on the bill, as part of the “Sentieri in Cammino” exhibition. The show with Anna Redi and Carlo Melodia, however, will not be held tomorrow evening, but has been postponed to a later date. The traveling exhibition in various municipalities of Sabina will continue in the coming weeks.
The “Apericinema TraMonti” cinema festival has started in Cerva and Navegna Mountains Reserve.

A Monteleone Sabinotoday at 6pm, in the conference room of the service center of the archaeological area of Trebula Mutuesca, an afternoon dedicated to one of the most studied cave sites in the Middle Sabina and Lazio: the excavation of the archaeological site of Battifratta (Poggio Nativo), with an in-depth analysis of the archaeological site, of which the discoveries that have occurred over time will be presented. In the 1980s, the Italian Institute of Human Paleontology revealed the existence of a stratigraphy with levels referable to the ancient and middle Bronze Age and the recent middle Neolithic. And then the new research launched in 2021 by the Department of Ancient Sciences of Sapienza University. The two campaigns conducted so far have made it possible to broaden the chronological range of human presence in the cave, highlighting lithic tools and faunal finds from the Middle Paleolithic.
Also today, from 9.30 am to Collelungo Sabino (Casaprota), in the Piazzetta delle Casacce, the conference on the centenary of the diversion of the Farfa river (1923/2023), with an assessment of the impact of modernity in the Upper Farfa Valley, from the historical re-enactment to the relationships with the local communities.

It is set at the end of the 19th century and features a family of cowboys and a Sioux family, united to achieve a single goal. The third element of union is the sky, an expression of prayer and spirituality, which follows the caravan from the Dakotas to Texas, both on the outward and return journey.” The main elements of the novel are the thought of life and death, the strength of women, friendship, respect for nature, the fragility of men. In addition to the author, the illustrator Adriana Chimenti and the musician Matteo Colasanti will be present. The meeting will be moderated by Gabriella Vespa.
Sabina celebrates Maria Callas, on the centenary of her birth, today from 6pm, in the area of the karst sinkhole of Prato Favale. The space is in the park Lucretili Mountainswhich embraces 13 municipalities, including Poggio Moiano, Orvinio and the XX mountain community of the Sabine Mountains. The “La Divina” concert is on the program. The repertoire of the event will draw inspiration from the anniversary dedicated to the famous soprano. It will be the opera romances and arias that made Maria Callas famous that will resonate in the Lucretili Mountains. «The music that resonates in the mountains – explain the organizers – creates a harmony between nature, culture and human sensitivity».
