Evenepoel achieves the triple in Cruz de Linares, Kuss continues to lead

The Belgian Remco Evenepoel (Soudal Quick Step) has won alone in the eighteenth stage of the Vuelta a España, held between Pola de Allande and the summit of Cruz de Linares, 178.9 kilometers long, in which the leader remains the leader. US Sepp kiss (Jumbo-Visma).

Evenepoel has achieved his third stage victory in this edition with a time of 4h.47:37, at an average of 36.8 km/hour. Second place went to the Italian Damiano Carusoat 4:44 minutes, and the third for Andreas Krona 5:10.

The pack of favorites, with the Spaniard Enric Mas in front, crossed the line 9:29 minutes behind Evenepoel. Jonas Vingegaard gave up 9 seconds with respect to the rivals of the general and Mikel Landathree seconds.

No changes in the general. Kuss retains the red jersey as leader with 17 seconds over Vingegaard and 1:08 over the Jumbo-Visma runner as well. Primoz Roglic. The fourth place is for Juan Ayuso —the best Spaniard in the general— at 4:08, the fifth for Mikel Landa at 4:19 and the sixth for Enric Mas at 4:30.

This Friday the nineteenth stage of the Vuelta a España takes place, with a flat profile, between La Bañeza and Íscar, of 177.1 km. On Saturday, another great mountain day with the twentieth and penultimate stage of the Spanish round: 208 km between Manzanares El Real and Guadarrama, before the final day through the streets of Madrid.
