Europa League, Atalanta-Rakow Czestochowa 2-0 report cards: De Ketelaere overflowing, Zappacosta and Ruggeri applauded

Atalanta’s report cards

Juan MUSSO 6.5: called into action on only one occasion (Lederman’s counterattack in the 75th minute, at 2-0), he responds like a champion, with a very effective exit with his feet.

Rafael TOLOI 6: decidedly quiet evening. Yeboah and his companions practically never pass through his area.

Berat DJIMSITI 6.5: confident in defense and, as always, very proactive up front. At the end of the match, with a header, he came close to making it 3-0, stopped by Vladan Kovacevic’s great clearance.

Giorgio SCALVINI 6: see report card regarding Rafael Toloi.

Davide ZAPPACOSTA 7: plows the right out with great personality and mastery. The assist aimed at CDK’s head, 4′ into the second half, is simply perfect.

From the 76th minute Emil Holm 6: the former Spezia right winger is immediately proactive, coming close to scoring a hat trick in the final with an acrobatics.

Marten DE ROON 6.5: as always, great determination in the midfield. He leaves the scene shortly after playing time due to a problem (by his own admission on social media) of an intestinal nature.

From 62′ Ederson 7: not even 4′ after his entry, in elevation, he signs the final 2-0, showing readiness and great choice of timing in insertions.

Teun KOOPMEINERS 6: some good verticalisation, even if it is less flashy than other circumstances.

Matteo RUGGERI 7: like Zappacosta, but on the left, protagonist of an overwhelming performance. He made the winning cross for Ederson Silva’s header in the 66th minute.

Charles DE KETELAERE 7.5: overflowing. He dialogues great with both Muriel and Lookman and also acts as a winning terminal in Scamacca’s absence. The Gewiss Stadium deservedly gave him a standing ovation.

Dal 90’+2 Mitchel Bakker: sv.

Luis MURIEL 6.5: good exchanges with Lookman and CDK. He is definitely better between the lines than as a first striker.

From the 62nd minute Aleksey Miranchuk 6: immediately helps the entire offensive phase with good pace.

Ademola LOOKMAN 6: he tries in every way, especially in the first half, but the goal remains haunted for him. In fact, in front of the mirror, it could be more incisive.

From the 76th minute Mario Pasalic 6: in the 91st minute, left-footed, he creates the ball (unexploited) for De Ketelaere with a potential 3-0. Immediately afterwards, however, he throws a greedy counterattack to the winds.

Mister Gian Piero GASPERINI 7: despite Scamacca’s hard blow (a month’s stop), his team is alive and creative. The European journey (re)starts in the best possible way.
