The future of Duván Zapata was defined and after several weeks of uncertainty after the failed transfer to Roma, the ‘Toro’ had a good one and already managed to sign a contract with Torino.

Despite the fact that the club has not made his arrival official, the Italian media outlet ‘Tuto Mercato’ released Duván Zapata’s first statements after signing his name with Torino that link him until June 2026. The Colombian striker did not hide the excitement for this new challenge.

“I am happy, excited. Ready for this new adventure. I tell the fans that we’ll see each other at the stadium and I hope that many goals can come this year,” Duván Zapata told Tutto Mercato.

For now, all that remains is for the 32-year-old player to be made official by Torino, who will announce the link as soon as possible and thus make his debut with his new club in Serie A.

It must be remembered that Duván Zapata managed to play two games in the season, one against Sassuolo and the second against Frosinone, the latter being the Colombian’s last appearance with Atalanta and in which he managed to score a goal in the 2-1 defeat.

During his time playing at Atalanta, Zapata managed to play 191 games, but also accumulated a total of 82 goals and 32 assists in five years with the Bergamo club.
