Ousmane Dembélé: two feet as strong as number one asset
“I am more left-handed […] but I shoot better from the right. » In 2016, at the microphone of Canal +, it was with these terms that Ousmane Dembélé tried to summarize his ability to use both feet indifferently. Since then, the former Rennais has come a long way but has not changed much: he uses his right foot almost constantly to control the ball then his left to follow up.
As a result, his counterpart never knows what tempo to dance to. If he closes his lane, the Parisian can move inside via his left outside; if he opens it even a little, the attacker very quickly connects his first two touches and rushes in (see illustrations).
