Sidoarjo – Deltras FC officially introduced its squad for the 2023/2024 League 2. The team launch was held at the Deltras Academy Field in Siwalanpanji Village, Buduran Sidoarjo.
Deltras FC CEO Amir Burhannudin said he was optimistic about coach Widodo C Putro’s team this season. He also has a strong desire to return Deltras to Liga 1.
“We remain confident in the team’s squad this season,” said Amir, Wednesday (6/9/2023).
Amir explained that the Deltras team was 100 percent ready to wade through the league 2 competition. Towards the first away match against PSCS Cilacap on Sunday (10/9), the Deltras team was not at all afraid.
“A total of 34 players will depart for Cilacap by train. Including the two foreign recruits, and three 21-year-old players. The team’s preparation for this competition is serious, starting from yesterday when I first held it in league 3,” said Amir.
Meanwhile, the captain of the Deltras team, Rendra Teddy, said he was ready to fight. Moreover, the first match was played away, he was challenged to win the match.
Regarding competition in the group, he again firmly admitted that he was ready. According to him, the preparations he had made with the team were very mature. “We are optimistic that we can beat all the teams,” said Rendra.
To note, Deltras joined in group three with PSCS Cilacap, Persijap Jepara, Persipa Pati, Persekat Tegal, Gresik United and Persela Lamongan.
