Château du Grand-Jardin’s Heritage Day: A Resounding Success

By combining the show formulas of the Summer of the Grand-Jardin, Thursday aperitif and local market, the tourist office has largely fulfilled its mission. Sunday September 17, more than 1,800 visitors were welcomed to the Château du Grand-Jardin.

With around twenty local producers and artisans, the local market, hosted by the group Del Aguila y Amigo with its gipsy-style songs, was one of the assets of this success. This is evidenced by the higher than expected number of reservations for the midday meal and the permanent queue at the drinks stand. The superb equestrian show by the Ménil Saint-Michel troupe also made its contribution.

Ditto for the archery offered by the Flèche bragarde volunteers and the pony rides in the romantic park (the wait was sometimes long) the Louise-Ellie concert (folk songs combining the lightness of notes with the poetry of the French language), guided tours in the company of Antoinette de Bourbon, Duchess of Guise. And thanks to the sky which asked the storm clouds to wait until night to appear.

So much so that this second Heritage Day was a great success for the Château du Grand-Jardin.
