Chajari Athletes Head to Mar del Plata for the Evita National Games

The competition takes place from this Monday, September 25 to Saturday, September 30 in Mar del Plata.

From our city, Priscila Blanco, Ana Paula Erben and Milagros Peláez Dallacaminá will be representing the province of Entre Ríos in the artistic gymnastics discipline; Guadalupe González, in Athletics; and Alejandro Espíndola and Mariana Castro in games adapted for people with disabilities. The athletes traveled accompanied by teachers Isondú Peker, Gaspar Martínez, Yanina Chauque and Fabiana Cardozo. Gabriel Tonina, from the neighboring town of Villa del Rosario, who will compete in Archery, is also part of the delegation. In this case he is accompanied by Professor Javier Galarza.
The Evita National Games are organized by the Sports Secretariat of the Ministry of Tourism and Sports of the Nation, aimed at adolescents and young people between 12 and 18 years old, and older adults throughout the country, and have a sports program that brings together 76 disciplines and a competition system composed of two stages: a qualifying process in each province in which around 1 million boys, girls, young people and seniors from every corner of the country participated, and a final phase, divided into five major events , which was accessed by 25 thousand competitors.
This final that is played in Mar del Plata corresponds to the Evita Youth and Adapted National Games, closing the 2023 edition. The finals of the Evita National Beach Games took place from March 7 to 12 in Chapadmalal (Buenos Aires). Aires), the Evita National Urban Games were held from August 23 to 27 in Tecnópolis; and those for Seniors from September 8 to 12 in Termas de Río Hondo (Santiago del Estero).
The provincial instances of the Evita Sports Games were held in the month of August and had the participation of 118 Chajarians, in the disciplines of volleyball, soccer, athletics, basketball, futsal, chess, gymnastics, tennis, archery and swimming. Volleyball was played in Colón and San José; 11-a-side soccer, futsal, archery and swimming in Paraná; athletics in Concepción del Uruguay, basketball in Villaguay and San Salvador; chess in María Grande; artistic gymnastics and tennis in Concordia, disability athletics in Concepción del Uruguay.
The local stage of the Evita games took place in our city in the month of May, and had a total of 488 kids in 12 different disciplines. Then the departmental ones began, which took place during May and June with headquarters in the towns of Chajarí, Federación, Villa del Rosario and San Jaime; to which 331 Chajari athletes participated, also in 12 disciplines, leaving only hockey outside the provincial level.
