Ciudad Juárez, Chih.- Based on the objective of the Central Park to promote sports in the children and young people of Juarez and that all the facilities of the place are used, the coordinator of the Central Park, Rogelio Muñoz Sapién, announced the Halloween Slam Tornament 2023 baseball tournament.
“With the desire to promote sports, to create the Central Park as a breeding ground for athletes from different disciplines, that is why there are people who are helping us to make families coexist through sports,” mentioned Muñoz Sapién.
The president of the Juárez Baseball League, José Luis Peña Martínez, said that the tournament will be of the Escuelita 6U and Moyote 8U category, the inauguration will take place on October 22, at 7 in the afternoon, on the field ” Teodoro Higuera Valenzuela”, located in the Parque Central Oriente.
“We are inviting all the leagues in the city to register and participate in this tournament that we are going to hold in the Central Park, the objective is to promote baseball in Juárez city,” mentioned Peña Martínez.
He indicated that they will take advantage of the Halloween date to have children ask for candy at the event.
The registration cost will be one thousand pesos per team, Peña Martínez added that there will be three awarded finalists of said tournament, the first place will get 3 thousand pesos, the second 2 thousand and for the third place one thousand pesos.

In addition to announcing the tournament, Muñoz Sapién reported that the 7-a-side soccer league will be integrated into Parque Central and a Flag soccer tournament will also be held.
“We are supporting Parque Central to create the Parque Central Cup, U8 and U10 category in 7-a-side football, the objective is for children to return to the activities of the Parque Central Oriente,” said the coordinator of CEFOR Bravos, Héctor Torres.
Torres added that the “Copita” will be from October 27 to 29, the registration cost will be one thousand pesos per team, registration closes on October 20 and that there will be awards.
In turn, the president of the Juárez Collegiate Flag Football League, Daniel Martínez, reported that the Flag Football tournament will be held, for which he extended the invitation to young students, clubs and private and public schools to participate in that competition.
The registration cost will be 500 pesos, 250 for arbitration and there will also be awards.
“With this call we are looking to generate new talents that can reach the University, since some universities already have tochito tournaments,” Martínez mentioned.
