“Together with Tiziana Ronzio’s Tor Più Bella association, the Municipality organized the ‘Caravan of legality and decorum’, with the aim of occupying a large drug dealing square and bringing beauty where, today, only the ugly. Tomorrow, Saturday 16 September 2023, we will be in via Santa Rita da Cascia from 09:00 onwards, a short distance from yesterday’s murder. The Caravan will see the participation, in addition to the Town Hall and Tor Più Bella, of the tireless anti-drug dealing priest Don Coluccia, of neighborhood associations, the Red Cross, Ama, the Garden Service, Civil Protection and many citizen volunteers, all engaged in the cleaning work of this territory. Accompanying us are the Police Forces who will patrol the area.
Legality and decorum must go hand in hand: for the entire time that we occupy the drug dealing square, the sale of drugs will in fact be interrupted, thanks also to the police forces who will be with us during this day. We will start from the dog area and the bowling alley and every Saturday we will go to a different drug dealing square, with the aim of bringing the good where today there is only the bad.
I also take this opportunity to thank the Carabinieri for this morning’s operations: dozens of searches, including with canine units, in search of drugs and weapons, as well as checkpoints and checks, with Acea staff Ato2, Areti and Italgas, of illegal connections to the electricity, water and gas networks and of any illegal occupations of public housing”.
