Canada Defeats Team USA for Bronze Medal in Fratricidal Duel

Fratricidal duel between the North American neighbors today, but not at the stage of the competition where we expected them. Team USA challenged Canada, but for the bronze medal. In the end, it was Celine Dion’s friends who left with the medal at the end of a totally crazy match marked by a masterclass from Dillon Brooks and a crazy action from Mikal Bridges to bring everyone into overtime. Except Dillon was probably on crack at the time of the game. Make him piss in a cup anyway, you never know, we in the meantime… we make the notes.

# Team USA

Walker Kessler (5) : without the two designated pivots, the player always taken last in sport at school finally had his quarter of an hour of glory in this competition. Holder, Kessler did what he could without being able to reverse anything.

Mikal Bridges (7) : beaten but certainly the author of the action of this World Cup, Mikal Bridges leaves without a medal, but with the conviction of having done what he could for his flag. -0.5 all the same for having seen SGA swallow up its soul in overtime.

Josh Hart (5,5) : perhaps one of the least flashy names on the roster, but surely one of the most valuable. A heart like that to be the best possible fit in the United States. The Hart Part VI.

Anthony Edwards (6,5) : Ant-Man took matters into his own hands but saw his important shots hit the rim and come out. His selection of shots is reminiscent of Nick Young’s glory days during the Lakers era.

Jalen Brunson (4,5) :after Passe-Partout, Passe-Temps and Passe-Muraille, discover Passe-Pasthe semifinals and not winning a medal.

Tyrese Haliburton (4) : the worst match at the worst time from the Indianapolis Nascar. The passes were still there but the shots did not fall. It’s difficult to put all the responsibility on him, however.

Austin Reaves (6) : as usual, Austin Reaves was good and tried what he could. On the other hand, we saw fewer untimely celebrations on each shoot. Meanwhile, Reaves’ home country Germany is fighting for gold.

Bobby Portis (3,5) : two unsportsmanlike fouls in the match for leaving to shower early and avoiding the gaze of spectators at the end of the match. We can’t tell if Bobby Portis is a genius or a dunce cap.

Cameron Johnson (5) : scored a 3-point shot, enough to get the average given the rest of his world.

# Canada

Dwight Powell (5,5) : as usual, he played the role of control tower in the Canadian racket. What if, ultimately, DP was just a civil servant like any other, who leaves once his 35 hours have been completed?

Luguentz Dort (5.5) : Dormance had a great defensive match once again, and was able to score a few shots to help his country bring home bronze. From Luguentz in the text.

Dillon Brooks (9,5) : LeBron’s best friend came out of his box at the best time against Team USA to bring home the medal. Simply hellish, it was Stephen Curry dressed as Dillon Brooks today. Still with the same celebrations that go with it, he was totally possessed, and some blood tests should indicate the presence of blood in his drugs. 39 points scored, expect to hear it from every corner of the globe for the rest of the offseason

RJ Barrett (7,5) : the left-hander once again held his place in scoring and once again produced a good score. We hope he took advantage of it, because in less than two months, it’s back under Tom Thibodeau to play 42 minutes per game.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (8) : For once, Shai took on the role of Dillon Brooks’ lieutenant today. Enough to still finish with a nice big creamy double-double. 31 points and 12 assists, the stats sheet is blackened, and the pen is out of ink.

Kelly Olynyk (5,5) : had the last shot of regulation time and almost converted it. However, his contribution is once again valuable. We wouldn’t have gotten a thumbs up from Dillon Brooks if he had scored his shot, so we’re grateful to him for that.

Nickeil Alexander-Walker (4) : who put a lid on the basket when he was shooting from distance?

Melvin Ejim (5): a quiet start to the school year for him, no need to give his correspondence book to the head teacher.

Phil Scrubb and Zach Edey (5) : 2 minutes to please, they were on a speed-dating date.

Final score 127 to 118 for Canada, which brings back a nice bronze medal, not the metal hoped for but a beautiful page in the history of Canadian basketball all the same. Meanwhile, Team USA no longer scares anyone and leaves Asia instead of the idiot. Because yes, before wanting to be world champions, we should think about being North American champions already.
