Caisse Nationale du Gendarme and Banque Française Mutualiste Partner to Support Disabled Athletes for Paris 2024 Paralympic Games

This Friday, September 15, the Caisse nationale du gendarme (CNG) and the Banque française mutualiste (BFM) signed a partnership for the benefit of four athletes and disabled sports champions from the national gendarmerie. Initiated by the Personnel Support Sub-Directorate (SDAP) of the national gendarmerie, this partnership aims to support these high-level athletes in their preparation for the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games.

Four extraordinary trajectories

The four athletes who joined the ranks of the High Level Sportsmen of Defense – Gendarmerie (SHND-G), as civilians, present different trajectories.

Margot Boulet, member of the French disabled rowing team, joined the ranks of the SHND-G on October 29, 2020. A commitment which allows the young woman, seriously injured while doing a GIGN course, to continue the adventure in the gendarmerie. Margot is already qualified for the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games.

Valentin Martin – Video department

Florian Bouziani has joined the ranks of SHND-G in the para-cycling discipline. In just 4 years, he made a place for himself in the world of cycling, before winning, in June 2021, his first world champion title in para-cycling.

Gaëlle Edon signed a SHND-G contract on May 17, 2023, in the para-shooting discipline. The athlete, who has an eloquent track record, is already qualified for the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games.

Thomas Jakobs has joined the ranks of SHND-G in the para-badminton discipline. A discipline started only six years ago, following a car accident which deprived him of the use of his legs.
