The Bundesliga football clubs VfL Bochum, Werder Bremen and TSG Hoffenheim have been nominated for the German Sustainability Award for Sport. The award has been honoring pioneers in various categories since 2008, including sport for the first time this year. The award ceremony will take place on November 24th in Düsseldorf.

In addition to the three first division football teams, the nominees in the six categories also include associations such as the Handball-Bundesliga GmbH, several sports venues such as the Berlin Olympic Stadium and events such as the 2023 Biathlon World Cup in Oberhof.
“These nominees from six categories document the breadth and diversity of opportunities to make the world of sport more sustainable,” said the organizers.
