“When I wanted to get out of the shower, the door just slammed open,” the 27-year-old wrote. The glass literally burst and the French Open semi-finalist sustained several deep cuts that had to be treated in the hospital. As “proof,” the former world number ten showed a photo of her doctored hands.
“After the horror, I’m fine again. That could have been more serious,” wrote Haddad Maia: “But it will take a few days for the wound to heal.”
