On Saturday, Beerschot will start a new cup adventure on the field of amateur team Lokeren-Temse. Since the restart in the first provincial, Beerschot has not had too much success in the cup. The last final dates back to 2005. Germinal Beerschot beat national champion Club Brugge 2-1 at the Heysel. But the last hurdle on the way to that cup final was… Sporting Lokeren.
