MUNICH – After the international break, European competition is back on track. On Friday evening 15 September 2023, there will be at least two exciting matches being played.
From Germany, Bayern Munich faced Bayer Leverkusen. The two teams also drew 2-2.
Bayern was able to take the lead first. Harry Kane scored a goal when the game had only been running for 7 minutes. However, in the 24th minute, Leverkusen responded through Alex Grimaldo.
In the second half, Bayern managed to take the lead again. In the 86th minute, Leon Goretzka found the back of the Leverkusen goal.
But the victory that was in sight was shattered. In injury time, Leverkusen managed to equalize the score again through Exequiel Palacios. The same strong position lasted until it was dissolved.
Then in France, PSG surprisingly lost. Playing at home, they were beaten by OGC Nice with a tight score, 2-3.
Sadly for PSG, in that match they had to miss twice. Even though the champion, Kylian Mbappe, managed to score two goals in the match in the 29th and 87th minutes respectively.
The defeat forced PSG to drop to third place in the standings with eight points. His position was replaced by Nice who scored nine points.
