Baltimore Orioles Mourn the Loss of Baseball Legend Brooks Robinson

The sport of baseball has lost one of its greatest. Brooks Robinson played his first game in 1955 – as a third baseman, he won the Golden Glove as the best defender from 1960 to 1975. Due to his outstanding performance, he was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1983; the American ended his career around six years earlier. But his name remains unforgotten, even after his death. Because Brooks is deceased.

As TMZ reports, the Baltimore Orioles shared a statement regarding the death of their former player. “We are deeply saddened by the news of the passing of Brooks Robinson. He was an integral part of the Orioles family since 1955 and will continue to have a lasting impact on our club, our community and the sport of baseball,” the statement said .

Baseball lovers will miss the legend, but the family in particular is mourning Brooks. The deceased is survived by his wife Connie, who had been married since 1960. The couple has four children together.
