Asahi Kasei and Asahi Kasei Europe held the “Asahi Kasei Judo Workshop” in Düsseldorf, Germany on August 30 and 31, 2023.
As part of its social contribution activities, the Group has set up “development of the next generation” and “promotion of culture, arts and sports”. We have actively engaged in social contribution activities through sports. Judo is a sport that originated in Japan, but it is also popular in Germany, so we held a judo class in Düsseldorf, where Asahi Kasei Europe is based, and created an opportunity to learn about the wonders of judo.
On the day of the event, three members of the judo club, general manager Kenzo Nakamura, manager Yuya Yoshida, and player Ryunosuke Haga, participated as instructors. We held a class for elementary school students and a class for people with judo experience, and more than 170 people participated in the two days. Many participants commented that the judo class was very enjoyable and highly satisfying. We will continue to actively engage in social contribution activities through corporate sports.
