The person who is most anticipated at the Hangzhou Asian Games is Jeon Woong-tae, a member of Gwangju Metropolitan City Hall, who stands on the Olympic podium for the first time in the history of modern pentathlon in Korea.

As the finals will be held on the 24th, the day after the opening ceremony, it is expected that the Korean team will be the first to receive medal news.

Seo Chang-wan of South Jeolla Province, who has achieved medal-level results in modern pentathlon international competitions for three consecutive years since 2021, is also attracting attention.

Gwangju Women’s University’s Ansan and Choi Mi-seon, who won three archery medals at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, are also expected to maintain the pride of being an ‘archery master’.

There is also a lot of interest in Ahn Se-young, the badminton queen who graduated from Gwangju Physical Education Middle School and Physical Education High School.
